Today we read a poem by Langston Hughes in which the speaker reflects on their place in society. After reading the poem, I learned that it is wrong to make false accusations about others. Getting to know someone can reveal much about a person and provide a better understanding of their cultural background. I liked this lesson because the poem can be interpreted in various ways by different people, including yourself. As we read the poem, I struggled to determine symbolism the speaker used. Today I feel great! Although I am still adjusting to the teaching style of my new orchestra teacher, I am learning several new pieces for an upcoming event. After this period, I have to stay after school for marching band practice, even though I don't really want to go.
If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?
Simple. I would go to California and go to Disney Land and Universal Studios and to the beach while renting out an Airbnb. I think I'd like to bring my family (maybe). Sometimes one of them can be in a bad mood and I wouldn't want them to ruin the whole vibe of me visiting either of these places to relax and enjoy the time in Califonia. Disney Land is way bigger than Disney World in Florida and has way cooler rides from what I've seen in videos and ads. In class, we just took the time and made up any missing work we had and I really need to catch up on these blog posts. Today I feel relaxed because in all my classes we did nothing since today is the day before spring break and no one wants to assign any work. Or it could be because there was no wifi throughout the whole day, but I'm not complaining.
