Culture Poem

Today, I presented my poem to the class about my culture. As the others went, I was able to learn how their cultures have made them the person they are today. Through out the presentation, I was able to learn different perspectives of cultures and this helps to better understand a person. I would do this lesson again.Today, I am going home and take a nap.

Red Wheel Barrow

Today, we learned about the importance of simple objects. The reader was able to express how chickens depend on a wheel barrow. We tend to forget how the simple objects help us throughout our lives, so we forget the importance of those objects. I liked this lesson because, I've been so focused on school I don't realise how simple things like a toothbrush can affect my day. Today, I will go to a musical concert.

Words vs Power

Today, we reflected how words can hurt people. The poem, was a boy whos words of another has stuck with him for months. I think its best to think before you say something because it can not only offend someone close, but hurt someone for a period of time.

mother's advice

Today, I read a poem about a mother giving advice to her son, who seems like is going through a difficult time. Mothers are usually a caring or nursing parent rather than a father. When going through a difficult time, you should get advice from someone who tells the truth, is straight forward, and helps you pursue good. After school, I would go home and do homework.

The American Dream

Today we filled out a chart how the descisions the characters made had an affect on their future/dreams.

Project

Today, I reread Rose's dialogue through out the play. I was able to understand Rose's gender and racial expectations around the house and how these characteristics have an affect on others. Today after school, I want to go home a take a fat nap.

Intro to a new project

Today, we are begging a new project in the class. the project is supposed to help us have a better characterization towards the character we choose in the play. I like how we have the option to choose which project to do because some sound easier than others. Today, I have practice after school.

Fences

Today, I finished reading the play. We discover that Troy dies at the end. Ever since the separation of Troy and Rose, it caused the family to become more separate. Cory did not grow up with Troy's new daughter, Raynell, but graduated school and joined the marines. Troy's death was a difficult event for Cory to accept and forgive Troy. Going through tuff relationships can be hard to get over and forgive. Today, I get to go hom

Fence reading

Today, I read the climax of the play. Troy admits he's cheating his wife with another women, even after Bono tells him not to continue the relationship with another women. I think Rose has every right to be mad with Troy because a marriage, both people need to help each other, but some sacrifices are made to be with that person. Rose sacrifices her time (years) staying with Troy. Yes, Troy is a hard working man and doesn't rest either, but that doesn't give him the obligation to cheat on his wife just to finally "relax". Today, I get to go home!

poster pt2

Today, my group finished the poster for Lyons. Though Lyons is a man of his words, his expectations are low. He tends to make excuses for himself so he doesn't have to work, but this is hurting him because he then begins to depend on others for money. Today, I have to stay after school again for practice.
