 Prompt Response: My parents arrived at a house I didn't recognize. After they went inside, they decided to leave me in the car. After two hours, my mom came out with something wrapped in her old sweater and put the wrapped object on my lap. I was very confused. It wasn't until I heard a small cry under the sweater that I began to unwrap it. Underneath the sweater was a white-coated puppy. I don't usually like puppies at all, dogs in general, because of how messy they can be or how loud they can be. On the drive back home, I had this feeling to hold and care for it, though, and not want to leave it. The puppy instead brought me a soft of comfort. 

Summary: Today, I learned about the open defecation in India.

Reflection: In India, it is normal to have open defecation. Though this action is normalized in the country, it is unsanitary, unsafe for women, and hurts the environment. People began this action because they believed it connected them with nature and was peaceful. While others disagree with this, it also brings their environment harm and destroys people's water supply.
