Describe a situation where you had to find strength despite feeling weak.

 Prompt Response: I was a sophomore who just got out of the hospital after getting surgery on my intestine. I was already having trouble recovering, having to get back to my nutrition, walking, and getting on track with my schoolwork. I didn't mind doing all the work to get back to my old schedule, but it was a week before finals, and I've missed 2 months of school already. Having all the work piled up was stressing me out, and despite the passing of my uncle, it made it even harder. 

Summary: Today, we continued the reading of The Color Purple.

Reflection: The character, Celine, begins to try and protect her younger sister as she doesn't want anything bad to happen to her. She begins to fantasize about her escape away from her father so she and her younger sister can be safe and still continue with their education.

Write about something that you heard that you wish you could unhear.

  Prompt Response:  My connection with a friend began to grow apart as time went by. I didn't know why, but something seemed off. Maybe we were growing tired of one another. I then began to distance myself from them because maybe they might have not cared for me as a friend anymore. I don't know. It wasn't until I brought it up and said why are they acting this way. They proceeded to say "yours weren't enough". I didn't know what they meant by that. I processed those words as they just didn't like me in the way it was before, but that's ok. I have to understand unfortunately you can't keep those you love close all the time and only trying won't bring them any closer or receive what you want from them.  Summary: Today, we did a reflection on our semester.  Reflection:  It's good to have a moment and think both how we are doing in our lives. Why I want a Husband

Today we compared the gender roles of what are expected from a wife and a husband. I liked this lesson because we were able to see the view point of the speaker, on how hard it can be to be a wife, or what is expected from a wife. The things expected from a husband can somewhat be hard to be expected from a man when they are not committed. Today, I have practice after school.
