Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response: My room is where I feel most at peace. Whenever I'm feeling down, stressed, or just need a place for things to have a slight pause, I go to my room. I made sure that my room was a place that felt safe for me. A place where I can show emotions that I am unable to go to others in my family. My room has warm cozy lights, and a desk with its chair, but what I love most about it is my record player.

Summary: Today, read letters 56-60.

Reflection: Celie finds out Albert has been hiding a letter from her. These letters were from Nettie, her sister, to keep her updated about her family and her worries about Celie. Albert seems to have done this maybe to have a sense of control over Celie? I think not everything can be hidden no matter how long you try to hide it. Eventually, the truth will get out of being found.

The American Dream

Today we filled out a chart how the descisions the characters made had an affect on their future/dreams.

After reading The Tyger by William Blake, take a moment to reflect on the idea of creation. What do you believe is the most beautiful creation in the world—natural or man-made—and why? Describe it in detail and explain what makes it so awe-inspiring to you

I think the most beautiful thing in the world is the ocean. It really beautiful to what it may seem as just water but the ocean carries life. Sometimes simple things like water, we tend to be grateful for it. I remember the first time I went to the beach, I immediately fell in love with it. The small fish by the shore, the seashells in the sand, and the seagulls flying above my head. In the night small crabs come out, it was a little scary to me, but I realized not only fish live in the water but also those that get around by crawling. Today we read over a new poem called The Tiger which is the sepaker admiring the creation of the tiger. Today I feel ok and have to study for my calc test that I have tomorrow.
