If you were President of the United States of America, what are 5 things that you would do and why?

 Prompt Response: If I were President of America Id:

1. I forbid dog-breeding corporations: Many people take advantage of their licenses and leave the dogs with no care.

2. Buy me a nice house: Presidents have money, so I'd want to use that money for myself and my family.

3. Plant more trees: Our world is worsening due to global warming, so a change needs to happen to better the earth's environment. 

4. Solve World Peace: There are still suspicions and violence around the world, it would be nice to have peace with all the leaders.

5. Feed the homeless: Again, presidents have money, and I'd want to help out for those in need.


Summary: Today, we learned a little more about Jimmy Carter. 

Reflection: Becoming a president or having the role of a leader is easier said than done. Especially when the people of the country are in your hands. It would be hard to make choices that the public might disagree with you on, but to become a leader isn't also about being selfish and sitting in an office. Many achievements can be made when becoming president but it's all the hands of those who have the title, and whether they choose to make something bad from it.

 I think the most beautiful thing in the world is the ocean. It really beautiful to what it may seem as just water but the ocean carries life. Sometimes simple things like water, we tend to be grateful for it. I remember the first time I went to the beach, I immediately fell in love with it. The small fish by the shore, the seashells in the sand, and the seagulls flying above my head. In the night small crabs come out, it was a little scary to me, but I realized not only fish live in the water but also those that get around by crawling. Today we read over a new poem called The Tiger which is the sepaker admiring the creation of the tiger. Today I feel ok and have to study for my calc test that I have tomorrow.

Imagine writing a letter to yourself 10 years from now. What advice, hopes, or reminders would you include?

Dear Future Scarlett, I hope you are reading this letter with an already-bought house, a loving husband, and a family.  I know you definitely have the career you dreamed of or maybe something better because you wouldn't let all the hard work you have done come to waste. But I know that one thing you were definitely scared of was the thought of having someone. You were scared to lose someone after a long term or even just the thought of it becoming something negative towards you and your family. But I hope you have changed that perspective completely, that loving someone isn't so scary. You can't let negative feelings follow you in the future. I hope you are in contact with your parents too and often visit them, no matter what.    I read letters 66-70 from The Color Purple today. I didn't think class would be about an hour, so this long period drained me. I don't like sitting in a class for more than an hour.
