Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

Prompt Response: I remember in kindergarten when I had to talk in front of an audience for Hispanic Heritage Month. I don't necessarily remember why I was there, but I had to talk about Guatemala. I'm glad I wasn't as shy as I am now, but I was able to handle the pressure more than the other kids before me.

Summary: Today, we wrote some notes on formal writing.

Reflection: Learning these skills can help us in the future. As we enter college, it is best to learn and understand these skills to present ourselves as professionals when needed. Today, I am sleepy and I still have to get home and study for my first calc test.

The American Dream

Today we filled out a chart how the descisions the characters made had an affect on their future/dreams.

After reading The Tyger by William Blake, take a moment to reflect on the idea of creation. What do you believe is the most beautiful creation in the world—natural or man-made—and why? Describe it in detail and explain what makes it so awe-inspiring to you

I think the most beautiful thing in the world is the ocean. It really beautiful to what it may seem as just water but the ocean carries life. Sometimes simple things like water, we tend to be grateful for it. I remember the first time I went to the beach, I immediately fell in love with it. The small fish by the shore, the seashells in the sand, and the seagulls flying above my head. In the night small crabs come out, it was a little scary to me, but I realized not only fish live in the water but also those that get around by crawling. Today we read over a new poem called The Tiger which is the sepaker admiring the creation of the tiger. Today I feel ok and have to study for my calc test that I have tomorrow.
