Choose a word from Vocabulary Lesson 12. In at least one paragraph, define the word in your own words and explain where you encountered it. Describe how understanding this word helps improve your communication or writing skills.

The word "maelstrom" refers to an intense or chaotic whirlpool. I usually encounter this in my history class maybe learning about historical wars. Using this word is best to describe when a situation is chaotic. instead of saying " out of control" you can say "maelstrom".  Using such evocative words enhances the emotional intensity and clarity of writing, helping the audience grasp the scale or severity of a situation more effectively. Today we learned a new set of vocabulary words and had to do these small exercises with it. Today, I feel calm.

After reading The Tyger by William Blake, take a moment to reflect on the idea of creation. What do you believe is the most beautiful creation in the world—natural or man-made—and why? Describe it in detail and explain what makes it so awe-inspiring to you

I think the most beautiful thing in the world is the ocean. It really beautiful to what it may seem as just water but the ocean carries life. Sometimes simple things like water, we tend to be grateful for it. I remember the first time I went to the beach, I immediately fell in love with it. The small fish by the shore, the seashells in the sand, and the seagulls flying above my head. In the night small crabs come out, it was a little scary to me, but I realized not only fish live in the water but also those that get around by crawling. Today we read over a new poem called The Tiger which is the sepaker admiring the creation of the tiger. Today I feel ok and have to study for my calc test that I have tomorrow.
